Tribulation to Hope

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Tribulation to Hope

Wednesday thoughts

Do you glory in tribulations?  When difficulties come our way we usually cry, get upset, angry, depressed, complain or even a combination of these feelings.  Most people do not glory in tribulations or rejoice for difficult times.  No one wants to go through difficulties or tribulations but good can come from them.

How do you go through tribulations?  If you stay calm, and work through the difficulty as best you can, it helps you to grow.  It produces perseverance.  We move forward and push through the difficulty working to get on the other side.  This is good for us.  We grow, which is what God wants.  God also wants us to turn towards Him.

By persevering it helps to build character.  It is important to build a good, moral character.  A strong character that helps to make sure you go through more tribulations in a positive way.  Character, a good character, is so important for our development into the people God wants us to be.

Character, good character, also produces hope.  Hope that things will work out for the best.  Hope that there is good on the other side of whatever we are going through. Hope in God.  Hope that He will be with us through it all.  Hope in His reward of eternal life with Him once this life is over and Jesus returns.  What a glorious hope that is!
