The Savior is Waiting

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

The Savior is Waiting

Wednesday thoughts

“This week someone died in our small community.  A patient was talking to my boss and said, ‘I am a Christian but I can’t understand why God would take away this mother from her child’.  As if to undermine God and make Him sound as if God stole this mother away from a child because God wanted her company more.  So many wrongs with the belief that the spirit goes to Heaven.  God’s character is then put in a very bad light.  Like Lazarus’ story Jesus is sad when someone dies.  He also loses communication with His child for a time as we do.  How quick we all come to blame our heavenly Father when things don’t work out the way we think it should.” – Sarah Wahlen

“All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. God told Adam and Eve from the time of creation if you eat of this tree (or if you choose not to obey my rules) you will surely die.  The choice was made then and the choice is ours now.  “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.  But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”  Joshua 24:15. Search your heart today.  Where is it at; looking to the things of the world or looking to our heavenly Father. – Brad Pigsley
