It's Okay to Cry

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

It's Okay to Cry

A devotion for February 28th through March 6th

We fall apart, we cry, we can’t think how we will go on.  It’s okay to cry.  It’s okay to fall apart.  It’s hard when we lose someone we love.  Life has a way of suddenly throwing things at us.  Sometimes things are unexpected, sometimes we know they are going to happen before they do but it is still hard.  At these times we fall apart, we cry.  The Pain doesn’t seem to end and things are out of control, we don’t know what to do.  Many times, it is so hard to even think about how we might go on.  We want to just give up.  We have no strength left.

It’s okay because we don’t have to be strong.  There is One who can, and should, be our strength.  There is One who will hold us close and be our strength.  There is One who is strong while we are weak.  It may not feel, at the time, like there is any relief but there is.  Pray, give it to God, ask Him to take it out of your hands.  If you give it up to God and trust, have faith, that He will take care of it, He will.  The pain and tears are going to happen.  Trust that God is with you through it all.  Trust that He has already won, love has won.  This life is all temporary.  What awaits us in eternity with Jesus is peace and beauty.

Give it to God.  He understands and will comfort us with His promises and love.
