He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. How do you see God? Do you see Him as a tyrant, waiting for you to mess up so He can extinguish you? Do you feel like He has left you and doesn’t want anything to do with you? Do you feel like you have done so much wrong, or even just a little bit wrong, and so God is through with you? The devil likes to stir things up and get us all doubting God. Satan wants us to turn away from God and to believe that God is horrible and does not care. Don’t let Satan sway you from the facts. God is all about Love!
God doesn’t abandon us or forsake us. He doesn’t want to force us into loving Him, that never works. If we invite Him in, open the door to Him, He will gladly come in and help us! God wants to lift our burdens. He wants us to turn them over to Him. He wants to lift us up, lift us out of whatever dark dismal place we are in. He wants to wrap us in His arms and hold us close. God doesn’t turn away from us, we turn away from Him! God loves us so much He sent his only begotten son, Jesus, to show us how to live our lives and to die a horrible death, paying the price for our sins! That is an immeasurable love!
Turn towards God, open the door, let Him come into your life. He wants to bless you with so much! All the troubles and pain of this world will go away, it will end, in God’s time. This life is a short one compared to what God offers us! An eternity of no pain, no suffering, just peace and love. An eternity of love and peace sounds so much better to me than the short life we currently have. Don’t let it get you down. There is so much greater in store! Stand firm and have faith! God’s love is immense!!
