Upside Down

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Midweek thoughts

The other day I was watching a short video I found.  It showed a turtle on its back in the water.  It was flailing about, trying to right itself.  This went on for a bit and then, you could see other turtles down on the bottom of the water, slowly moving towards the one on its back.  As the other turtles got closer, the flailing turtle stopped, and waited.  Once the turtles got to a certain point, they helped to turn their friend right side up.  It was a cute video that got me thinking while I watched it.

It’s like us, going through life.  Sometimes life gets us turned upside down.  We are on our back, flailing about trying to right ourselves.  We fight the current of events making no headway at all, just struggling, and struggling with no way to right ourselves.

But if we take a moment, slow down, stop fighting and turn it over to God, help would soon be there.  When we calm down and trust in Him, He will help to set our lives right side up again.  It may take a bit and we may have to float for a while, but He will come.  He may nudge us back into place in a different way then we think He should, but it will be the right way in the long run.

Let’s stop fighting, relax, and float.  Turn it over to Him and wait for Him to come.  One day He will come in the clouds, and everything will be turned right side up and put the way it was originally intended.  What a glorious day that will be!
