Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
How often during the day do we just go about our business, going from task to task, place to place, moment to moment and notice the little treasures put before us? I don’t know about you but quite often I miss them! I think there are times we all do.
This weekend I was reminded to seek the little treasures. To notice all of the little treasures God provides each day. What are these little treasures? How can we seek them! How can we gather them up and hold onto them? There are so many ways. But mostly, we just need to pay attention and realize He is speaking to us through all the little things, the little treasures.
One church member talked about how grateful she is for the blessing of an apple. Another talked about realizing all the little things she never noticed before that she now realizes are blessings, treasures, from Him.
When we wake in the morning, that is a treasure! When we have a roof over our head, that is a treasure! When we have food to eat, a job to provide a paycheck, a friend to have lunch with, a smile from a stranger, or even find a penny on the ground. All are little treasures. All are blessings from our Heavenly Father.
We should spend time each day thanking Him for each “little” thing. All of these little things add up to a great many blessings! Seek the little treasures. Cherish them and paise God for His great blessings!
