To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven
Often times we all talk about the way we dislike winter, the snow, ice, bitter cold and driving conditions. Summer; the dreadful heat severe weather, humidity. Spring and fall we like more because weather isn’t as extreme. We get snow but it usually doesn’t stick around. Fall colors and spring flowers.
We just came back to Iowa after vacationing in Hawaii. A place where because of the ocean surrounding it, it doesn’t experience as much temperature fluctuations. And therefore, don’t experience the seasonal changes others do. They don’t get fall colors, snowfall and the springtime growth the rest of us experience.
Our spiritual lives can experience changes too like a season. Sin brings storms, painful chilling moments. But because of God’s grace and sending His Son to die for our sins, we too can start a new life. He cleanses us and makes us whiter than snow. Our hearts take on a new beginning and the Holy Spirit gives us showers of blessing. And together with these our lives display a picture with many beautiful colors.
When Jesus returns, He will take us to his eternal home, to a place of unimaginable beauty. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 Never forget God in your personal season’s eternity will be full of His warmth.
