Remember Your Value

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:30-31 NKJV

A devotional for October 8th through the 14th

I know I have written about this topic before, but it is one that sometimes we need to be reminded about.  I have heard from a couple of people today about feeling like they didn’t make a difference or that no matter what they did they just were not good enough.  I felt like God wanted me to share some thoughts.  Hopefully He comes through in this.

We often feel like we are not of value, we are not worthy.  Often, we will feel like others don’t feel we are good enough.  If anyone treats you that way, pray for them.  They must not feel they are good enough.  If you feel you are not good enough, pray.  Read His word and know your worth.

Jesus knows our worth, our value.  To Him you, and I, are so precious, so valuable, that He chose to die the cruelest of deaths, all for you.  He did this for each and every one of us.  Isaiah 49:16 says “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands…”.  Jesus took the nails for each of us.  He sees us as worth sacrificing Himself, all out of love.  If that doesn’t speak of your value, I don’t know what does.

He knows each hair on our heads.  He died for us.  To me, it doesn’t matter what anyone in this world thinks.  The King of Kings thinks I am valuable.  He thinks you are valuable.  That is all that matters.
