Rain

Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.’

Hosea 6:3 ESV

Midweek Thoughts

Through most of the year most of America has been in a drought.  Western Iowa has been in a severe drought.  For the last 2 weeks we have received considerable rain that has greened up all the fields and lawns. We can water and fertilize our lawns many days in a row and not achieve what one night of rain will do.

Man has always had and heard the saying “I’ve got this”.  In reality we’re just grasping air and never grabbing hold of anything that will do us any good.

Much like rains from the heavens and how they green things up outside, God’s blessing and gifts (like the rain we get when the Holy Spirit teaches us from His word) will make our lives full and create in us a beautiful peace that we can’t get anywhere else.  Take a little time each day reading His word and praying for his blessings to rain on you as you read.  Your peace and joy will overflow to those around you.

Receive the “Showers of Blessing” He wants to give each and every day.
