My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 23 because it speaks so much about what God has done for me throughout my life.
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. I was a young girl growing up during Nazi regime. There were many struggles especially with the treatment of people. We fled and more than once and went from place to place. Never did we starve or face extreme problems. There were struggles but I knew God was always with me.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. We made it to America and though again there were struggles, compared to the trauma and death we’d seen these were much like still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Throughout my life God has blessed me so much. My wonderful family and the church family that we became a part of has not only restored my soul but brought great Joy to my life.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. The valley and shadow of death was definitely before me as I watched and heard people being assaulted and murdered and then seeing piles of people that were dead in fields and wherever they could pile them. It breaks my heart to think of the devastation that took place in my home country.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anoints my head with oil; my cup runneth over. As I studied God’s word, I beheld his promises and felt my love and need for Him grow. My love for Him is larger than life itself that I can’t hold it inside I’ve got to share it with others.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. This my hope for me and everyone else.
Take care of each other and share a little love each and every day.
