But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
What are your priorities? Do you have certain things that are on your list as far as what is most important going down to least? We usually always have things that are very important to us. Our spouse or significant other, children, parents, family, a best friend, friends, leisure activities, work, so many different things that we put on our list. The list is different for everyone depending on circumstances. For some people it might be food and shelter being on the top of the list. The circumstances of our lives will usually make something more important than something else.
We often prioritized based on what we need to do for a certain day, or maybe there is something, like a goal, that we are trying to achieve. Through the day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year prioritizing we do, where do you place God? Do we even have Him on our list? We should. Daily.
Each day we need to put God first on our list. We need to include Him in everything we do. Each decision we need to make or any activity we do during the day should include Him and a conversation with Him. When we include Him in our day, when we put Him first before all else, the rest of the priorities and day will all fall into place.
By putting God first, even before a spouse or family, we are building the most important relationship we will ever have. We are ensuring not just a good day or wonderful life; we are ensuring the most awesome everlasting life. Shouldn’t we all invest in the everlasting more than the temporary?
Rework your list of priorities and make sure God is first. Praise God for His mercies and blessings!
