How Could I Not?

’But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?

Job 12:7-10 NKJV

Midweek thoughts

I have a few hobbies but one of my favorite ones is photography.  I especially like zooming in on flowers, butterflies, and insects.  I love seeing the detail in a fly’s wings and all the variances in colors, shapes, and veins on flowers.  If there is a small spot of color, I want to zoom in on it.  I often use my own photos for many of the devotions I write.  I just love God’s nature.  His creations.

When I am outside walking around taking pictures, I am often talking to God.  I ask, “what beauty are you going to point me too today”.  I never know if it will be a butterfly, bird, flower, tree, sunset, or rainbow but I always ask God to bring me one of His creations to photograph.

For me, all these things that I’m zooming in on, or just trying to capture the best way I can, testify of Him.  Every detail on a wing or flower petal speaks of God and His great love and mercy.  Even looking up in the night sky, I see just how great and awesome our Heavenly Father truly is.

When seeing all this detail, all this beauty He created, how could I not praise Him?  How could I not bow down and worship Him?  I am in awe of every detail God has put into each and every creation, no matter how small.  I want to share what I see; I want to share God.  How could I not?

The next time you are outside look around.  Look at every detail and take it all in.  God is so great and all of nature testifies of Him.
