For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, And joy in My people; The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, Nor the voice of crying.
Tonight, we watched an evangelistic series that talked about Heaven. It was like a Bible study where we could look at Bible verses that talk about Heaven, if it is real, what it looks like, and what things will be like when we go there after Jesus returns. It was wonderful reading all the various Bible verses referring to Heaven and the peace and beauty that will be there.
Many people have various views on heaven and what it will be like. The best place to learn about heaven is in God’s word. We have no clear idea of what it will be like but the Bible paints a picture that is simply glorious. Even though the Bible tells us, for us to be able to truly imagine it simply will not do it justice. The best part of heaven to me is being with our Creator. Being in His presence is what my heart longs for.
Take the time to read the various Bible texts that describe and talk about heaven. I know every time I read the Bible verses the picture in my mind becomes more and more glorious! Knowing that I cannot even fully imagine it gives me joy. I know that what I am imagining pales in comparison to what I will see when Jesus returns.
