Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
This last weekend we celebrated communion at church. Our pastor shared a sermon with us that spoke to us about Jesus’ humbleness when He took off his outer garments and wrapped a towel around His waist and proceeded to wash the feet of His disciples.
After his sermon we separated to do the same with our fellow believers. I was asked by my close friend to share this moment with him. I was greatly honored. He washed my feet and then I washed his. I then prayed thanking Jesus for all his lessons and then thanked Him for my friend and how much I appreciate him. He then prayed and broke down in tears during his prayer. What a heart to allow himself to open himself and feel the joy of what God does for each one of us. He and my wife both pray with their hearts opened and the emotion they experience while talking to our Heavenly Father fills our hearts with some of the gold, he has given them.
God is our very best friend, share some emotion with him today.
