Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.
Here we are, the day after Christmas. The holiday season is often hard for so many due to loss or a wide variety of other things that cause grief and sadness. For others, the holidays are full of joy and excitement. And after Christmas many people feel a letdown. It’s all over. No more lights, parties, gifts, or fun that many have during the holidays.
Things start going back to normal. We go back to work with not many days off coming up. For some there is disappointment that maybe they didn’t get what they wanted. There is a mixture of emotions. For some it’s running to the stores for the sales that start. Through all this, we forget the most important thing. Christ is still here.
We need to remember; Christ was not born on December 25 and that was also not the end. When Christ was born it was just the beginning. God came down as foretold, to save us all. Christ died for all of us to save us! To save us from sin. To save us so we could live in peace for eternity with Him.
We need to live our lives every day in a way that resembles Christ and that shows how grateful we are for the promise of beautiful peace and an eternity with no sin! How glorious that will be!
We owe everything to Christ. Every breath we take, everything we do, we must praise God for providing for us! We can’t do anything without Him! Praise God for His ultimate gift of love to each of us! Live each day honoring Him! Praise God!
