My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Have you ever had something happen where you were sure God played a part? Have you heard something and felt God was talking to you? It happens so often. There have been many times when I have either seen or heard something, had something happen to me, where I just knew God was speaking to me. Today, God used me to speak to someone else.
I was talking with my daughter on the phone. She has been having a lot of struggles and I always try to be supportive and help the best I can. It’s a challenge but she is my daughter and I love her, so I do my best. She was breaking down, sad about a situation that happened. The subject of God came up and during the conversation she mentioned a song that I had her listen to once because I thought it might speak to her. I told her I remembered.
I reminded her the song was called “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. It’s a great song that can speak to anyone. The voices in our heads always tell us we’re not good enough. We need to listen to what God says, not the voices. My daughter and I finished our conversation and she got off the phone.
Not long after, my phone rang again. My daughter called and was so excited. She said she knew God was speaking to her. As soon as we had hung up the song came on the radio. The very song we talked about. She said she knows God is trying to speak to her. She is still sad, still struggling, but she is now trying to hear God’s voice and listen. To most people this might seem insignificant. To me it means the world. I pray daily for God to work in my daughter’s life. This was a glimpse that He is. The biggest surprise is, he used me today to point her to Him.
Keep praying for those you love. Keep talking to God. Most importantly, listen. Sometimes God uses those right here beside us to send His message. Pay attention. God says we are good enough.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
