As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you; And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.’
I love Isaiah. There are so many Bible verses in Isaiah that speak beautifully of God and His love. Reading Isaiah 66:13 today gave me so much comfort. It is so reassuring to know He comforts us.
We all have struggles. We all go through difficult times. There are many times when things are not the way we wish they would be. Many times, our hearts hurt.
Today everyone spent time thinking about their mother’s. Some people visited their mother’s, called their mother’s, or an array of various things. And some people, me included, spent the day simply remembering their mother because their mother is no longer here.
My heart hurts missing my mother and my mother-in-law, but I am also comforted. I am comforted by God, His promises, and His love. Just as my mother comforted me when she was with me, so my Heavenly Father comforts me. He comforts us all. His word gives me so much hope for the future. It should give everyone hope.
Feel His presence. Let Him comfort you. His comfort goes so much farther than any other comfort. It lasts for eternity.
