Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Tomorrow we will be preparing to say goodbye to 2020 and welcome in a new year. I know this year in particular, more than any other I can remember, we are all very ready to say goodbye to 2020. This has been a challenging year for everyone.
Rather than spend time thinking about all that went wrong with the past year, let’s spend time contemplating the coming year and the promises it holds. Also, spend time meditating on God’s word and the promises He has made to each and every one of us. God’s word, the Bible, is full of God’s promises.
Let’s all spend time welcoming the promises of the new year and, mostly, spend time in God’s word. Follow what God wants us all to do, showing Him our love for Him and our faith in His word and promises. God is so great! All He wants is our love. We show God our love by living a life according to His word. Doing good in the world, no matter how bad things seem, shows others God’s love and shows God our love for Him. Praise God for all his goodness, even during difficult times.
