Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Have you ever heard God's whisper? I'm sure you have but maybe you don't realize it. The gentle breeze blowing through the leaves of a tree. The gentle hum of a hummingbird's wings. The soft sounds of a deer resting in a field. All these are just some of God's whisper.
God gently whispers to us each and every day. Many times the whispers come in the form of nature. God's creation all around us whispers to us of God's greatness and His love. All around us we see and hear God, but we don't seem to realize it. Many times we brush it off. It's just the wind. It's just an insect. It's just nature. We need to remember that it is all God's creation and he whispers to us through it.
Often God whispers to our hearts. Do you hear it? Do you listen? Do you follow what He is saying? Many times we brush it off as a passing thought, a feeling that we just need to ignore. I believe we need to take the time to really listen when God is whispering to us. God is trying to tell us something. Sometimes it's God trying to guide us and teach us. We should take a moment to just be still, listen, and do our best to follow the path God is trying to lead us down. God knows what is best.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
It is important to have trust, have faith, in the Lord. Listen to the whispers of God. He is not forceful. God gently speaks to us in order to guide us gently through good and bad times. The Lord is gentle in how he handles His children. It is up to us to "be still, and know that I am God". It is up to us to trust that God knows what is best and to follow the path He is guiding us down. We cannot do this ourselves. Trust in God. Listen to His whisper to your heart.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
