But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A Promise Fulfilled
God’s blessings are new every morning. You never know when one of them will touch you. This one in particular I would like to share with you.
I attended a church fundraiser several years ago where I promised to give $50, which was a lot at that time. I was able to provide $20 of the promised $50. I started to pray about it and told God I was having difficulty coming up with the rest of the money I promised Him. I asked God to provide for my need. “I have done all I know to do, now I need you to provide for me”.
After this I received a phone call from a friend who was supposed to sing at a funeral and wanted me to play the organ. I was not comfortable with playing the organ because the piano was my choice of musical instrument and the song was The Lord’s Prayer which is easier to play on the piano. I told them I would think about it. So again, I went to the Lord in prayer. I knew God would be with me so I decided I should accept the offer. I called the next day and said I would do my best. What I didn’t know was that people got paid for taking part in the funeral service and after the service ended someone handed me an envelope. In the envelope was a check for $30, no more, no less. God supplied my need. I almost missed God’s blessing. God is good!
